Youth Vision for Society Association launches the project “Anghel Saligny – Beyond the Bridge”,140 years after Anghel Saligny began designing the first silos in the world that used reinforced concrete.
Anghel Saligny, a Romanian engineer, is famous for the design and construction of the bridge over the Danube, Fetești – Cernavodă, the longest bridge in Europe and the third in the world at that time.
But his story continues beyond the Cernavodă bridge. The project will make it possible to get to know Anghel Saligny through the prism of all his constructions, as he also made significant contributions to the development of the ports of Constanța, Brăila and Galați.
Through the project and guided tours, you will enter the engineer's universe, learning about each of his constructions. Saligny's works will be brought closer to you through the exhibition of plans, sketches and models of the constructions he worked on.
Thus, we invite you to join the project to discover Anghel Saligny from the perspective of other representative constructions for Romania.
