Bucharest, Romania – The Youth Vision for Society (YVS) Association, in collaboration with the main partners Arhitectura Magazine and the Romanian Architects' Union, announces the official launch of the "Heritage Houses Evening" project, a cultural initiative that aims to bring the architectural and cultural heritage of Bucharest to the forefront.
The “Heritage Houses Evening” project is co-financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund (AFCN) and will include a series of cultural events under the title “Urban Explorers – Night Session”. These events will take place on September 20, Bucharest Day, and will take place in the captivating atmosphere of the city’s autumn evenings, where the public will be able to discover and appreciate the beauty and history of some of Bucharest’s less accessible heritage houses, in an innovative way.
What does this project bring new?
“Urban Explorers – Night Session” will offer participants a complete cultural experience, which includes:
- Artistic moments which include theater skits based on the real stories of the houses, bringing their history to life in a unique way.
- Guided tours through which visitors will explore the architecture and fascinating stories of heritage houses.
- Exhibitions retro automobile and photographic exhibitions that will highlight unique architectural and historical details of the buildings.
- workshops dedicated to those interested in learning more about heritage conservation and valorization.
“Urban Explorers – Night session” is more than just a cultural event; it is an invitation to rediscover and appreciate a heritage that defines our urban and cultural identity. We want to connect people with these buildings full of history and give them back to the community as living cultural spaces.

The project is implemented with the support of prestigious partners, such as Arhitectura Magazine, the Romanian Architects' Union, OAR Bucharest, ARCUB, the Bucharest Municipality Museum, the Storyteller Bucharest Platform, Retromobil Club Romania, the Architecture Association, which contribute to the success of this cultural endeavor through their expertise and active involvement.
